SITE UPDATES: Gilly and Rocket have moved on, so D34Drop is pretty much just me.
Gilly: Even if you deciphered Gilly's text wall, you can't contact him any longer. :pours out a 40:
Rocket: You're on your on. If Rocket wants you to find him, you'll find him.
Me? You'll find me in the usual places, not places, and number stations.
Also, people know who I am now, so you can probably figure it out too, if you're so inclined.
You can contact me at The Well: [no longer there]@well.com
Encrypt everything for everyone. End-to-end. Full stop.
- You can start by securing your messaging with Signal.
- If you run a website, get free SSL certs from Let's Encrypt.
- Find a secure email provider that is not a corporate pile of garbage.
- Support the EFF, you just might need them one day.
And finally, there is no scenario where giving authorities backdoors into encrypotion does not introduce more risk for everyone. They've been touting the 'going dark' argument since the 90s. Nothing has changed except that we've moved into the 21st century, become more reliant on our digital stores and devices, and we need secure privacy now more than ever.
